Around the Industry

  • Honeywell has agreed to acquire Sparta Systems, a leading enterprise quality management software provider, for $1.3 billion. This acquisition will enable Honeywell to further enhance the link between quality and production data for life sciences manufacturers. Honeywell plans to leverage Sparta Systems’ TrackWise Digital and QualityWise.ai SaaS platform to expand its offerings in the life sciences and pharmaceuticals industry.

  • Unacademy, India’s largest online learning platform, has acquired test prep startup NeoStencil. NeoStencil offers test over 500 prep courses with over 15,000 registered students online thru its live-learning platform. Unacademy, India’s second edtech unicorn, hosts over 47,000 educators and users across 5,000 cities. The acquisition will allow Unacademy to increase its leadership position in the test preparation space and increase its reach in Tier II and III cities.

  • HealthEdge, the provider of an industry-leading financial, administrative, and clinical platform for health insurers acquired Altruista Heath, Inc. Altruista services approximately thirty customers representing over 16 million members with its cloud-based enterprise workflow care platform GuidingCare. HealthEdge plans to integrate Altruista’s platform into its offering to provide customers with the ability to extract critical insights near real-time care delivery teams.

  • Pax8, a leading cloud services marketplace for IT professionals to buy, sell, and manage cloud solutions, has acquired Wirehive, a UK-based cloud hosting and consultancy company. The acquisition gives Pax8 the ability to expand its reach into new markets, capitalize on access to new technology, and provide enhanced step-by-step cloud migration capabilities.

  • BCM, a leading managed technology solution provider, has acquired SkySwitch, a white-label UCaaS provider. This acquisition will allow BCM to expand its UCaaS offerings to allow MSPs, VARs, ISPs, WISP, and other channel partners the ability to offer white-label communications services to their customers.


Partner Program Announcements

  • Snapchat has relaunched its marketing partner program better to clarify the types of assistance and guidance options available. The new Global Partner Solutions program will now offer two categories: Strategic Partners and Certified Partners. In this new offering, Snap’s Creative Partners Program has been rolled into the overall offering, with most of the creatives transitioned to the Creatives Partners list. The program will help partners leverage strategic collaboration and campaign optimization around Snapchat’s Marketing API to offer enhanced services to their customers.


Partnership Announcements

  • Okera and Starburst announced a strategic partnership to automate sensitive data discovery, security, and privacy protections to enable secure data access and analytics at scale. By leveraging Okera’s policy management and data masking, joint customers will experience end-to-end data protection across personal, regulated, and critical data.

  • PassTime and Polte announced a strategic alliance to enable dealerships and finance companies to securely locate collateral such as vehicles and assets virtually anywhere that GPS is unavailable. Polte’s multi-patented location technology produces accurate cellular location leveraging ubiquitous 4G and 5G cellular networks.

  • HEAL Software Inc. and Nous Infosystems Inc. announced their partnership to make Microsoft Azure Cloud applications more reliable and improve integrations and plugins for IT operations teams. HEAL provides the first artificial intelligence software for IT operations teams to find and fix problems before they happen. Nous Infosystems is a leading global software product and services provider.
